How to do the Kipping Pull Up

  1. Hang from the bar with a grip slightly wider than shoulder width.
  2. Swing into a hollow position with your shoulders ahead of the bar.
  3. Drive into an arch, then snap your hips to generate upward momentum.
  4. Pull with your arms as your body rises until your chin clears the bar.
  5. Push away from the bar at the top and flow into the next swing.
  6. Build strict pull-up strength before adding the kip.
